Have you heard of the meringues from Aux Merveilleux de Fred? If not, I recommend a stop at one of their five shops in Paris and get ready to sample something truly marvelous. You will find six flavors of meringue cakes with whipped cream coated in some truly decadent toppings. Fortunately, the meringues come in different sizes. So you can order one of the smaller sized versions and not feel guilty about trying all six flavors (see the list here). Well, you might feel a little guilty, but these meringues are worth it.
Frédéric Vaucamps is the man behind the amazing meringues of Aux Merveilleux de Fred. He took a traditional recipe from the north of France and Flanders and made it his own. He then proceeded to open his first shop in Lille, France and now has many more shops in France, Belgium and the United Kingdom (see list here).
If you are still on the fence about trying one of the meringues, check out the descriptions of the flavors (here). I know I can't resist the Merveilleux (a meringue with chocolate whipped cream coated in shavings of dark chocolate).
