Once the weather starts to warm up in Paris, you may notice more sandals, espadrilles and a fair share of the brightly colored Bensimon sneakers. In the 1980's Serge Bensimon opened his first boutique in the Marais selling clothing, accessories and la tennis Bensimon (tennis shoes). His colorful and functional line was inspired by his love of travel. Although he has opened numerous clothing (and home décor) stores throughout France, the sneakers remain the most identifiable symbol of the Bensimon style.
