Square du Vert Galant

It looks like the weather in Paris might allow for a few more picnics before the rainy days start up again. So, why not head to the Square du Vert GalantPlace du Pont-Neuf, 75001? This pretty park on the western tip of the Ile de la Cité gives you an opportunity to enjoy views of both sides of the Seine (see 2nd and 3rd photos below). Be sure to look up and to the east for a view of the original le vert galant on his horse. A fun fact for you - the park was named after Henri IV who was often called le vert galant for his amorous lifestyle (see the last photo).
