l’objet qui parle – part III

A visit to l'objet qui parle, 86 rue des Martyrs, 75018 never disappoints me (unless I find it closed). As I mentioned before (here and here), this petite brocante in Montmartre is one of my favorite shops for home décor in Paris. The store is stocked with treasures —and many are reasonably priced and perfectly sized to be tucked into your carry-on bag. I stopped by this summer and chatted a bit with the owner, Guillaume. He is always so accommodating when I ask to take photos. He is also more than happy to extra carefully wrap up one of my finds, so it can make it home in one piece. He told me that l'objet qui parle has been in business for 17 years, which is pretty amazing given the number of chain stores that have crept into the neighborhood over the last 10 years. Hope you get a chance to stop by l'objet qui parle, find a treasure of your own and help keep it in business for at least another 17 years.
